This is the 2nd fiction from Matt Haig that I read, and it is also a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The 41-year-old history teacher is actually 400. He was friends with Shakespeare, Captain Cook and more.
It reminds me of The Man from Earth.
In the 16th century, he is considered a “witch” and is being hunted. He has to leave his wife and daughter, so as to keep them safe.
His daughter talks little, but often quote from others, such as Michel de Montaigne (philosopher):
I speak the truth, not so much as I would, but as much as I dare; and I dare a little more as I grow older.
