Remembering Linkin Park's Chester

Published on May 21, 2018

Linkin Park is my favorite band.

Right before I go into exam halls, instead of panicking and doing last minute revision, I will be blasting Given Up, Numb, Minutes to Midnight, New Divide, What I’ve Done, etc.

Their music gives me energy. And seems like it worked.

It will forever be my regret to have never seen Chester Bennington’s awesome on-stage performance.

One More Light

Who cares if one more light goes out, in a sky full of a million stars.

Who cares when someone’s time runs out, if a moment is all we are.

Who cares if one more light goes out.

Well I do.

They played One More Light as tribute to Chris Cornell, Chester’s best friend. Who could imagine another light would go out not long after.

Crawling

Crawling in my skin, these wounds they will not heal.

Fear is how I fall, confusing what is real.

To To find myself again, my walls are closing in.

I’ve felt this way before, so insecure.

He went through a lot of pain in his life.

He was in depression, and knowing there is a crazy guy in his head that he cannot be left alone to. Unfortunately, he gave in this time.

What I’ve Done

Celebrating His Life

Even though Chester is gone, they still sing his songs.

The full 3 hours concert can be watched here.

Or re-watch some of their best since 2003.
