I seems to be the go-to-guy for a resignation template.
So here’s mine, written in Feb 2018, one year ago when I left ShopBack:
It is nothing more than a formal email with a few essentials:
- Subject: Letter of Resignation
- To your bosses and HR
- Formally say you are resigning
- State your last day (which you should have discussed with your direct boss)
- Send before your notice period
The rest are just casual bits to lighten the mood 😎
You will also probably sum up why you are leaving, what you are going to do next, and thank them.
It is a very personal letter. I even bcc my buddy who knows of my decision.
