Jupiter's Claynosaurz Credit Card: Is the US$25 Worth It?

Published on October 8, 2026

Jupiter has a new Claynosaurz credit card. It costs US$25, but there’s an FX fee rebate until the end of 2026 that can make the fee worth paying.

I work at Jupiter, so yes, I’m biased. But I still want the maths to work.

What’s this dinosaur card?

It’s a Rain-issued Visa Platinum credit card featuring Claynosaurz, the animated dinosaur brand. Choose Gold or Platinum artwork, then add the virtual card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

The US$25 is a one-time fee for the virtual card, with no annual fee. Physical Claynosaurz cards are coming later.

You fund it with USDC or USDT and can only spend what you’ve deposited. It earns 2% cashback, capped at US$100 a month across your Jupiter cards. Card details and rewards.

When does the US$25 pay for itself?

Rain’s usual FX fee is 1% on non-USD purchases. Getting that back means US$2,500 of eligible spending recovers the US$25 fee.

Here’s what you save compared with paying that 1%. All amounts are in USD equivalent, within the promotion’s monthly limits.

Non-USD spend FX saved After US$25 fee
US$1,000 US$10 −US$15
US$2,500 US$25 US$0
US$5,000 US$50 +US$25

You can spread the spending across the remaining months, but it needs to happen by 31 December 2026.

The 2% cashback comes on top. I haven’t counted it towards recovering the fee because the standard Jupiter card earns that too.

If you’re comparing against a card that already has no FX fee, this particular saving disappears. Compare the rewards and funding costs instead.

0% FX, through a rebate

The promotion refunds FX fees on your first US$10,000 of non-USD spending each calendar month, up to US$100 in rebates. That’s separate from the cashback cap.

At 2%, you reach the cashback cap with US$5,000 of eligible purchases in a month. You can still receive FX rebates beyond that, up to the promotion’s separate limit.

You pay the fee first and get it back in a monthly batch. Use the Claynosaurz card for those purchases; the rebate doesn’t cover your other Jupiter cards. Rebate terms.

For us in Singapore, SGD purchases count too. Groceries and meals at home can qualify, just like hotels and shopping overseas. No flight required.

It’s the card’s FX fee being refunded. The currency conversion rate still applies, and buying or transferring stablecoins may have separate costs.

Would I pay for it?

If I’m already spending stablecoins and expect more than US$2,500 of non-USD purchases before year-end, yes. Regular SGD spending plus a holiday could get there quite easily.

If it’s mostly USD subscriptions or the occasional purchase, I wouldn’t bother. USD purchases already have no FX fee, so the promotion doesn’t help there.

I’m not gonna spend extra just to recover US$25.
