After nearly 2 years working solo, I’m about to return to the workforce. Kind of.
It is as close as to a job, yet still not a job, since I won’t be employed by anyone.
I have an offer to join Antler.
Antler is a startup generator. They are a company, and also a VC, that wants to generate as many startups.
All founders get a stipend of S$3,500 per month the first two and a half months.
Not bad.
Not bad at all for working on my own idea.
At the end of the 2.5 months, Antler could invest in a pre-seed round.
We invest US$100,000 for a 10% equity stake in each company selected by our investment committee.
Effectively they inject US$60,000 cash, after deducting US$40,000 to cover for the cost of the program. With that pre-seed investment, the founders will run for a few more months until Demo Day.
The Demo Day is a pitch to VCs for a seed round.
