宋代禅宗大师青原行思提出参禅的三重境界：
参禅之初，看山是山，看水是水；
禅有悟时，看山不是山，看水不是水；
禅中彻悟，看山仍然山，看水仍然是水。
At my 30s, I do realize this 3 stages is true.
Just a few examples.
Bags
I used to carry cheap bags.
Then I started to have money and buy better bags - and branded.
Lastly, I find bags are bags. They don’t have to be branded.
Haircut
I still remember going to barber for $6 haircut in the 1990s.
When I was teenager, I started going to salon for $18 haircut + a good head massage.
At my 30s, I don’t care so much about my hair anymore and now I go for $2.50 express haircut!
Haircut felt like the only thing that didn’t go through an inflation. I don’t remember there is $2.50 haircut in 1990s?
