iPhone NDA dropped

Published on October 2, 2008

Alas, Apple has dropped the dreadful NDA for iPhone SDK! Read the release statement at Daring Fireball, which claims it is a open letter by Steve. Quoting:

However, the NDA has created too much of a burden on developers, authors and others interested in helping further the iPhone’s success, so we are dropping it for released software.

That sums up how NDA has impacted on developers. But it seems they took a bit too long to finally drop it. If they lifted sooner, there would be more tutorials/discussions and life would be easier for me!

On any case, my first iPhone app is near completion. And the next thing to worried about is being denied by Apple. MailWrangler is an example.. Denied!?
