Points and miles
MoneySmart offers 12,000 yuu Points for 1,000 SmartPoints. At S$1 per 200 yuu Points, that’s S$60 per 1,000 SmartPoints.
You can also get 15,000 KrisFlyer miles for 5,000 SmartPoints. At an illustrative 1.5 cents per mile, that’s S$45 per 1,000 SmartPoints; your value depends on the flight, availability, taxes and cash fare. Atome+ points depend on available rewards, so I haven’t assigned them a fixed value.
Buying SmartPoints
MoneySmart sells 100 SmartPoints for S$10, or S$100 per 1,000 points. You need at least one SmartPoint to top up, and some rewards don’t accept purchased points. MoneySmart explains the top-up requirement.
At that rate, 9,310 points for the PS5 would cost about S$931 before bundle rounding, versus the S$849 comparison price. A small top-up may still make sense if you’re using points you’ve already earned.
